Meet Hailee Salcedo - FP WestPREP Volleyball



How do you spend your free time?:

Playing volleyball, hanging out with friends at the beach, and watching anime.

The best thing about me is?:

I love my hair.

I am happiest when?:

Playing volleyball

I get very upset when?:

When I get frustrated.

What is one thing that people would be surprised to know about you?:

I'm ambidextrous.

What is another thing that people would be surprised to know about you?:

I'm Hispanic but I struggle with Spanish.

List three words that people use to describe you?:

Funny, kind, tomboyish

What do you like the most about your school?:

I've made great friends there. MOA campus was fun.

What do you like least about your school?:

Tons of homework

If you go go anywhere in the world where would that be and why?:

To the Arctic and Sub-Artic to see the beluga whales.

My greatest wish is?:

To become a veterinarian. I want to see it through.

Ten years from now I will be?:

A veterinary doctor

Who do you admire most other than one of your parents and why?:

My sisters, because they made the mistakes before me and helped me avoid them, inadvertently to them. My brother, because we aren't always dealt the same hand in life, and he is doing great even with his struggles.

If you could meet any person in the world, dead or alive, who would that be and why?: Note sure, I would hate to limit myself to just 1 person. It has been the work of many that has made humankind prosper.

Who is your favorite band or musician and why?:

I have so many. I like PINK as a musician and as an activist. I enjoy so many others 21 Pilots, Taylor Swift, Shakira. The list goes on.

What is your greatest motivating factor?:

Challenging myself, proving to myself I can do it.

What motto or slogan best describes you?:

One issue at a time.

What is most important to you outside of athletics?:

Human decency. Standing up for what is right and just in the world. Equal treatment of the human race.

What are your top three college choices?:

UF, Auburn, UM

Why is being a student-athlete an important part of your education?:

You need to be well-rounded in life and being a student-athlete gives you that perspective and discipline.

What else should we know about you?:

I want to help make this world of ours a better place for everyone. Definitely for animals.
